Named for Sarata, the lead artisan of our cooperative in Bougouni. This ritual honors the women whose knowledge sustains the shea tradition across generations: raw shea, the origin of everything we make, Lafia for the body, and our slow-infused oil for your crown.

We formulate with real ingredients, around their nature, not against them. We use whole butters, plant oils, and West African botanicals, gently preserved. No parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicones, synthetic dyes, or mineral oil. Nothing compromised.
How to use

Begin with the Lafia crème after a warm shower. Massage a few drops of the hair oil into the scalp before bed or wash day. The raw shea is for everything else: hands, ends, elbows, whatever asks. For external use only.

Our shea is gathered and hand processed by a women's cooperative in Bougouni, Mali, the way it has always been done. Their work is seen and fairly paid. From our hands to yours, we make every product in small batches in North Carolina.
